Traditionally this year Mostostal Pulawy, as the main sponsor of cycling group "Pogon" Mostostal Pulawy, helped in organization a cycling race. This year's one had a special character - firs of all it was a jubilee - 10th "Street Race for a City President's Cup", but also it was one of the events related to the celebrations of the centenary of the city of Pulawy. The event took place on 21. May 2006 and was a pretty windfall for cycling fans. Organizers took care of many attractions. One of them was a participation of Mr. Ryszard Szurkowski - famous Polish cyclist.
There were 6 categories on the start, incl. women ( Elite category ) and invited guests, who set themselves against each other in the VIP race. Among the VIPs there was no one who could win with the Director of Mostostal Pulawy Mr. Tadeusz Rybak, who crossed the finish as the first.
The cyclists from "Pogon" Mostostal Pulawy turned out to be "not hospitable" - they won all of the first places in all men categories.
The celebration of presenting with prizes, cup and diplomas was added splendour by Andrzej Kita ( Chairman of PZKol ) , Ryszard Szurkowski, Presidend of City of Pulawy Janusz Grobel, Director of Mostostal Pulawy S.A. Tadeusz Rybak and Tadeusz Boreczek (Director of one of the sponsoring companies) .
