On February 12th, 2007 a successful pressure test of the CFB 131.4 MWth, 160-bar boiler was carried out. The boiler was fitted by Mostostal Pulawy S.A. for the use of the acid-resistant steel manufacturing plant Outokumpu Oy in Tornio, Finland. Work by the Company on assembling the pressurised part of the boiler with respective installations commenced in September 2006. The investment is to be completed by April 30th, 2007. The boiler, which is to produce electricity, steam and heat, can be fuelled with coal, turf, a mixture of the two, a mixture of the two with waste from wood processing, carbon monoxide from the nearby metallurgical plant and pre-sorted waste.
The test did not reveal any production defects.
