In September we finished the works related to the execution of the roofing of the west tribune at KS Polonia Stadium in Warsaw. The contract included wide scope of works. With regard to the short realisation terms there were many people and heavy equipment engaged.
The biggest logistic challenge was to transport the elements of the main beam with following dimensions: width – 5m, height – 5m. This element had to be transported in whole from Pulawy to Warsaw (about 120km). The greatest difficulty was to bring it over the city of Warsaw. It was necessary to disassembly of an electric traction of Warsaw’s tramways and reassembly of it all over. This complicated operation had to be carried out during one night to minimise any impediments.
