After almost 2 years of construction works, on October 13th, 2009, the National Inspector of Building Control for Bydgoszcz City has issued a Investment Usage Allowance for "The extension of the TDI complex to 75tt / per year" in Zachem S.A. The successful performance of the trial starting allow to sign on December 08th, 2009 "The final protocol of investment’s commissioning" and initiate the production of TDI by the modernized installation in ZACHEM S.A. In that moment the biggest contract in history with Mostostal Puławy S.A. as a General Contractor of the Investment has come to the end.
The production capacity of 75.000 tons per year has been proved by the trial starting which was required by the contract.
This modified installation in Zachem S.A. will produce TDI, the component used for production of flexible polyurethane foams, widely used in many industrial branches, such as: furniture industry (mattresses, covering), motor industry (seats, bumpers), textile industry (warming-up), cosmetic industry (bath sponges) and building industry (insulation, adhesives, glues).
This investment was realized by Mostostal Puławy S.A. in cooperation with PROZAP - the company has elaborated projects for all stages of building process. The modernization has been performed on working installation using the short production breaks.
As a result of modernization works performed without production breaks the production capacity has been improved, the safety of work has increased, the regular monitoring of technological processes has been initiated. It is worth noticing that the costs of production and menaces for the environment have been decreased.
The Ultimate Budget of the Investment came to 82 mln zlotys. The extension of the TDI complex to 75tt / per year" in Zachem S.A. was the first realization of that range performed by Mostostal Pulawy S.A. as a General Contractor of the Investment (GRI) in industrial construction.
This realization was performed on a large scale with the technological project and the purchase of all appliances.
All departments in our company were involved in this realization, in culmination of works almost 120 people have been worked on the building site. The whole team has been controlled by : Project Manager – Zdzisław Jarosz, Site Manager – Wiesław Juśko.
Mostostal Puławy S.A. has coordinated the work of almost 50 subcontractors and almost 180 purchase contracts has been realized in the logistics system.
Our company provided a performance bond for a set time period of 36 months and also gave a guarantee of technological process durability for 1 year.
The extension of the TDI complex is a part of modernization works in Zachem S.A. This potentate in chemical industry is preparing the extension of successive installations which will undoubtedly increase its competitiveness on world markets.
